Looking for something fun to do this Easter? Or many you’re hosting an Easter egg hunt/party and need some decorations? We’ve got some ideas for Easter arts and crafts guaranteed to be enjoyed this April!
Shabby Chic Easter Eggs
Plastic Easter Eggs
Start with a blob of glue on the plastic egg, and start wrapping twine around the egg, gluing as you go along to make sure it all stays in place! Then take your ribbon and wrap around the middle, stick with glue. Why not make a few and alternate with ribbon decorating for a perfect Easter decoration.
Hard boiled eggs
Start by hard boiling all of the eggs you’d like to decorate and let them cool. Use tape to create motifs on the eggs and paint over. Once the paint has dried, remove your tape to reveal your design. Alternatively just use paint to show off your creativity. Once you have a number of eggs designed why not show them off in a bowl as a centerpiece to your Easter party!
Clear rubber bands
Fill your sock with about a cup of rice, depending on the size of your sock. Tie clear rubber bands twice to create a head, one on the neck and one on top of the head. Cut a contrasting piece of felt to create a “belly” for the bunny, glue onto sock using tacky glue or hot glue.Glue eyes, teeth (a tiny square piece of felt cut down the middle that resemble teeth), pom pom on the back, and a nose (small rounded triangle piece of felt). Tie a bow around the sock bunny. Cut the top of the sock in half to create ears on the sock bunny. Snip off the corners to make the ears slightly rounded. Why not get a variety of different coloured bunnies!
Bunny Tail Bunting
To begin, find a template of a silhouette of a bunny rabbit. Follow this template and cut out as many bunnies as you’d like for your bunting. Cut a hole where you want the tail to go and then pull the pom pom half through so the tail works both ways. Then cut two smaller holes in the bunny’s ears and thread the string/ribbon through to finish your bunny tail Easter bunting!
Easter Bunny Headband
Double sided sticky tape
To begin, cut enough double sided tape to cover the band and hem the end half an inch under one side of headband. Wrap tape around the headband and finish doing the same on the other side. Take pipe cleaners and shape into bunny ears, wrap ribbon around and stick at the bottom. Make sure the bottom of the ears wraps around the headband and then cover the band with ribbon as well making sure ears are secure.
